If you bought the music of your life on 8 track, cassettes, 45's or original vinyl albums, you have found your people.  We are PINE RIVER BAND, a spirited Orlando-based music group featuring the best of 1960's to 1990's classic rock. 

 

 

 

 

THE BEGINNINGThis band began in 2019 as the brainchild of bassist Ed Markey.  Seeking to form a local group to jam with, he recruited neighbors Laura Breece (vocals), Mike Murphy (lead guitar), Jim Merchant (rhythm guitar) and Joey Casella (drums). 

 

All five members had busy lives, families and productive careers, but the call of music was strong.  Each member of the new collective had decades of performance experience, in groups or stages all over the U.S.

 

 

HERE WE GO...

Getting together weekly over the next year or so, they compiled their musical knowledge, perfected their unique sound, developed a large working playlist, and began doing local gigs.  Pine River loves performing for crowds of all ages, and are ready to entertain at your event!   We are proud to support our local Eagles Aeries, VFW posts, military and other civic organizations.  

 

The entire band lives in a charming area called RIO PINAR, named for the tall Tropical Pine trees that flank the nearby Econlockatchee River, and inspiration for the band name.

 

 

WHAT WE PLAY
